My Family History

                                   Qu Yunyun  雲雲 1927-2011

Qu Yunyun was born, Qu Wenjie, in 1927, and grew up in Shanghai. From 1946-1948, she recorded nine 78-rpm records, and was best known for her delightful 1946 hit, "Young lady on the tricycle".

She married Xu Zelin in 1957, and settled in Singapore where she lived until her death on July 3 2011.  Her name literally translates as ‘cloud cloud’ or ‘and so’.
